I went to the Boarding School Healing Action at Graves Park to honor of the lives of the Indigenous children lost to the Albuquerque Indian School (1882-1933).

It is infuriating. So many children in the boarding schools were robbed of their joy, their culture, and their lives.

To honor them, community organizers and members brought gifts and placed them in the middle of the healing circle.They invited the kids who attended the event to grab as many toys as they wanted. It was beautiful to see how happy they were and watching the adults around them celebrate with them was amazing.
