I want to text you but I do not dare

You were at my fingertips for all of our friendship

And I always moved on your command

I put you on a pedestal and I hoped that I would climb it one day

I hoped that I’d be ruling the world with you one day

And when our friendship didn’t last

I was so angry

We were soulmates

Soulmates don’t up and leave each other right?

Soulmates don’t marry someone else right?

I think about you after 10 pm

And I know you think about me too

You actually dared to contact me

And I needed to remind myself that I am not like you

I respect your wife

So I will only think about you after 10 pm

And when I do, i’ll write a poem

There is no harm in writing a poem

There is no harm in thinking about you after 10 pm

I will never dare contact you again
