The other day

I held my heart in my hand

And I raised it

For all of you to see

The reactions varied

Some threw love

Others threw shade

One person even spit at it

But not enough to cause damage

Overall my heart recieved an applause, human connection, sisterhood, and solidarity

The energy it recieved was so positive

That when I placed my heart back in my chest

I could finally breathe

We are on our way towards liberation it told me
