I saw him from far
Noticed his smile
His tattoos
Noticed the beautiful car
I’m not surprised
He switches rides every time I blink
I was in that empty street in between the beach and the grocery store
Only locals know about this little street
I was sitting in a white beach chair on the sidewalk
It was an odd place to be
We both aren’t even from this city
But we do share the same home
I miss him
But we both have different lives
And unfortunately I don’t belong in his and he doesn’t belong in mine
