I am a child sitting on God’s lap
Asking God to read me a story
I don’t pay attention to every detail
I am only human
I don’t know how the story is going to end
I’m not even going to obsess over not knowing
All I know is that I’m held and loved
Right now I am exactly where I’m meant to be
Right now I’m just listening
